The PADI Divemaster course teaches you to become a leader and to take charge of diving activities. During theory sessions, water skills exercises, workshops and practical application assessment, you develop the skills to organise and lead a variety of diving activities. Topics and practical workshops include: Role and characteristics of the PADI Divemaster. Supervision of general diving activities and assisting during training. Diver safety and risk management. Divemaster-led programmes and specialised activities. Business of diving and your diving career. Knowledge of the diving environment. Preparing and managing a dive. Mapping a dive site in the natural environment. Conducting dive briefings. Organise a search and recovery project and a deep dive. Conduct a ReActivate refresher course and a Skin Diver course. Act as an assistant during Discover Scuba Diving programs and lead Discover Local Diving programs. During your Divemaster training, your instructor may also offer you the PADI Deep Diver and Search and Recovery Diver Specialties to help you achieve all the requirements and expand your abilities.

The in-water training sessions are really fun. You will practice handling situations, such as treating a leg cramp and helping a tired diver, through scenarios and role-playing with other students and your instructor.
